Revelations Of The Blood Of Jesus

In a past blog we talked about Pleading the blood of Jesus. It means simply putting our faith in his blood not just for salvation but in every area and arena. as we get closer to ressurrectrion season the Lord has instructed me to go into detail about the shedding of his blood. In the last blog we talked about cleansing, sanctification, protection and provision. We are going to add onto it in this blog. When the question is asked Where did Jesus shed his blood? The common answer is Calvary. This is so totally true but its not the only place and each place has majior significance. Remember what the Lord said through the mouth of Paul FAITH IN HIS BLOOD(Rom 3:25) and what he said through the mouth of Hosea My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge(Hosea 4:6) So its imperative that we seek out knowledge like we would silver or gold. God shed his blood in the garden saying not my will but your will done. This was God redeeming our willPOWER! There are many reading that struggle with addiction or emotional wildhorses like fear worry anger or depresion. Jesus was under such pressure with his will that blood came right through his head! When you begin thinking thoughts like Iam never going to break this addictive behavior, or Iam never going to be free from this wildhorse turbulence. Recall the BLOOD and begin to appropriate and apply it! It would be like the weirdest thing on the people planet to have a gift under the tree during christmas and refusing to open it! Right? Think about the latter word on willPOWER, there is POWER POWER POWER wonder working POWER in the BLOOD of the LORD JESUS CHRIST! The next one is HEALING. The bible declares that He was wounded for our transgressions and with his stripes we WERE HEALED! Notice the word healed is in the past tense in Jesus name! However one again it must be appropriated and applied so we can enjoy the benefit of it! Jesus had thirty nine stripes brought over his back. There is medical evidence saying that there are like 39 majior diseases. Jesus took one stripe for each! When Jesus was piearced in his hands by the spikes, that represents our AUTHORITY. The bible said that when Jesus was raised from the dead he ascended to the RIGHT HAND of God the Father. Its a place and position of AUTHORITY and power! Jesus said those who believe on his name these signs shall follow we SHALL LAY HANDS on the sick and they shall recover(Mark 16:17,18) We've been given great authority through the blood! He was pierced in the FEET. This represents DOMINION. God told Josua every place the soles of your FEET tread upon is YOURS(Josua 1:5) This was just a shadow of the substance that we ought to be walking in! Jesus said that ALL POWER AUTHORITY AND DOMINION has been given unto us to tread upon serphents and scorpions and OVER ALL THE POWER of the enemy and NONETHING SHALL HURT US(Luke 10:19) The next one is INIQUITY. The Lord said through the mouth of Isiah that he was BRUISED FOR OUR INIQUITIES(Isiah 53:5) Iniquities can be descibed as a generational curse those things that you were deeply effected by that were not even your choice. We have all been imp[acted and influenced by the choice of another. Thats the reason theres a statement that goes choices have consequences! Todays decisions dertermine Tommorrows destinies! The blood was shed for our complete and absolute freedom from the pain of it! Next Jesus shed blood from the brow. This represents our redemption from the curse of the law! God said through the mouth of Paul Christ hath redeemed us from the CURSE OF THE LAW being made a curse for us, for IT IS WRITTEN CURSED is a man that hangs on the tree(Gal 3:13) We are not part of the curse of sickness or scarcity in the name of Jesus! Read the twenty eighth chapter of the book of Deuteronomy sometime, it describes the curse from verses 15 to 61 in descriptive detail! Everything that we have talked about must be confessed with our own lips over our lives. Our words are one of the primary ways we release and recieve! Its important that we do it with our own mouth because we will believe our own words much more than anyonelse! Never use your words to describe but to change in the name of Jesus!

"Guard The Gate"

In recent blogs we talked alot about triumphing through temptation. We found out that temptation is NOT sin. Everyone is and will be tempted. The Lord said through the mouth of James WHEN were tempted, not if. We talked about what sin does to our lives. We saw it in the life of King David. Its absolutely no different in our lives! We said that even if we have done made a mess in our lives through sin, the mop of Heaven is simply huge and will clean it up! The blood of Jesus is the strongest detergent on the people planet and shall remove the crimson stain in Jesus name! However we also found out theres one thing greater than the cleaning of a mess and thats one never being made! God said through the mouth of Paul Sin shall not have dominion over us(Rom 6:14) We talked about the acronym the Lord birthed and breeded in and through Bro. Keith Moore. FAR. Which is exactly all of us should desire to be concerning sin! The Lord spoke to me recently the title of the blog. We must GUARD THE GATE. This gate is the primary entry into temptation. This gate is our eyes. "There is a statement that goes our "eyes are the window of the soul" What we allow ourselves to look on and at is very important and imperative. Jesus said that if our eye offend thee PLUCK IT OUT(Matt 5:29) He wasent referring to litterally plucking our physical eye out, hes saying that there will be some pressure in getting our eyes under control, sometimes downright pain. Why? Because many if not most have been taught "Look, but dont touch" Right? However its the looking that enables a progression to take place in our imagination. What is an imagination? Its a word picture. If I was to say the word DOG to you, what would appear in your mind? It would'nt be the letters D-O-G. You would begin to see a picture of a dog, perhaps a collie or german shepherd. In other words its all about image! Years ago the tennis player Andre Aggassi was in a camera commercial and the catch phrase in it was "IMAGE IS EVERYTHING" This is so true in every sprectrom of life! The bible records a powerful illustration pertaining to this in the book of Numbers. The children of Isreal were givenj the land flowing with milk and honey, and they had to do was posses. Moses sent out twelve spies to seach out the land to get a feel for the teritory. Once they returned ten of the spies gave an evil report. Now lets zero in on the statement. We were in our own SIGHT as grasshoppers(Num 13:33) Did what they saw effect what they begin to think? Absolutely! Jesus said that when our eye is single, our WHOLE BODY SHALL BE FULL OF LIGHT, but if it isint it shall be FULL OF DARKNESS(Matt 6:22, Luke 11:33,34) What we look at becomes an image and than image will get bigger and bigger until it becomes a stronghold. God speaks to this process through the mouth of Paul Casting down imaginations taking every thought into captivity(2 Cor 10:5) and again through the mouth ofJames Once lust is concieved it bringith forth sin and sin when its finished brinith forth death(Jms 1:14,15) This all is a result of what we first look upon. In the book of Genesis the Lord gives us more tremendous examples Adan & Eve, they SAW that eating the fruit would make them wise(Gen 3:6) Potifers wife GAZED upon Joeseph. How do we enable the Lord to empower us to rule over our sight? Number one, Turn to the covenant. The book of Job said he made a COVENANT with his EYES(Job 31:1) We need to do the same thing, and seal it over communion. Make a pact with the prince of peace and give him complete control over our eyes. Number two The word. The bible says Let not THE WORD depart from thine EYES(Prov 4:21) Number three, Temperence. This word means self control. God demands that we rule over ourselves. Our eyes are not going to automatically want to look on the right things. We must make them and thats all about choice

The Power Of an Effective Witness

As we get ever so close to celebration Sunday, the Lord quickened me to share on the power of an effective witness. The bible says He that wins souls is wise(Prov 11:30) I think at times when not careful and cautious its easy to get caught up in hearing about how to build up our emotions, how to walk in divine health and on how to prosper in everyway everyday. Now you already know by reading past blogs for anytime that I'm all about it!!! Its because Gods all about it! He says that its his very wish that all be in health and prosper even as our soul prospers(3 John 2) and he says that he takes pleasure in the prosperity of his saints(Psalm 35:27) I want to give him pleasure, how bout you? Matterofact the book of revelation says we were created for his pleasure(Rev 4:11) The thing is that we must keep things in balance. Its important that we allow our lives to be a witness to others about the grace and goodness of God that leads men to repentence(Rom 2:4) God has given me some keys to be an effective witness. We serve a ressurrected Lord, the tomb is empty!! Its the only tourist attraction that people line up for miles to see nonething! Because HE LIVES we can face tommorrow and be triumphant. However there are many that have never recieved him. Have you like ever heard someone say Have you found Jesus? I like saying have you recieved Jesus? The reason is because He was and will never be lost! Why must he be recieved? Its because theres a very real place called Hell that very real people who reject Jesus go! The book of Luke gives an account of a rich man that DIED. First of all notice what Jesus said, he DIED! God said through the mouth of Paul its appointed unto man once to die than the judgement(Heb 9:27) Yes God wants us to be healthy and fulfill length of days, however if the Lord tarries just a half day his time, we WILL die. The question is where you'll be. When george washington knelt down in the snows of valley forge you were not, when the forefathers penned the declarartion of independence you were not, when alexander the great was rulling you were not. There was a time you were not, BUT there WILL NEVER be a time when YOU WILL NOT BE! Jesus goes onto say that after the rich man dies he lifted his eyes in TORMENT(Luke 16:23) Hell is a place of complete horror. Jesus said a CERTAIn MAN, this was not a parable, it was a true story! Jesus said its a place where the worm dies not and the fire is NEVER QUENCHED(Mark 9:43-48) Jesus said its a place prepared soley for the devil and his angels(matt 25:41) The question than could be than Why do people go there? Simple answer THEY DECIDE TOO! This is one of the reasons the preaching of the gospel is so IMPORTANT! Jesus said that this GOSPEL MUST BE PREACHED FOR A WITNESS TO EVERY NATION(Matt 24:14) In closing lets discuss these keys of effective witnessing. Number one, Character. Character is what we do when no onelse is looking. The Lord spoke to me awhile back and said Brian, "Christianity is a life of consistency" it means to honor our oaths, and to stay the same in private as in public. Thats character! The bible talks about two men that exemplified character, the first is Nathanial. The head of the church himself commended him saying that he was a man of no guile(John 1) the second is Danial. The bible says that danial had an excellant spirit(dan 6:3) He purposed in himself not to be defiled by the kings meat(Dan 1:8) Why? Because he was a person of character. When were not, we ski down the slippery slope toward hyprocicy. It simply means to "playact" its never intending to be what their pretending to be. When people see danials consistency in our lives will it witness to people? ABSOLUTELY! People are not down with phony bologne!!! Number two, Converstaion. The bible says Let thy conversation be holy(1 Peter 1:15) The word conversation is the word lifestyle. we have all heard the statement "People would rather SEE a message rather than hear one any day. People are more into our walk than talk. Jesus washed the FEET of his disciples(John 13) Why? Because its our walk that gives our words weight! Jesus said Let your light shine before men that they may see your good works glorifying the Father in Heaven(Matt 5:16) When our lifestyle is in agreement with God we'll be like a mirror in the face of individuals. When were at the work place and hit our hand and begin praising instead of cursing that testifies! Jesus said when our salt loses savor its good for nonething but to be trodden under the foot of men. The greatest testimony is the power of a transformed life! As we renew our minds with the word are lives will be more conformed into the image of his dear son. It will undeniable and irrefutable! number three, Compassion. The bible says that when Jesus saw the needs of the multitudes he was MOVED with compassion(Matt 9:36) People dont care how much we know until they know we care! When we reach out in compassion it shows people the heart of Jesus. God is LOVE(1 John 4:8,16) Many people may not always understand God, but they do love! This is what everyone is hungry for. The worlds definition of love is self love. i love you as long as you are doing for me. When we become a Christian the LOVE of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the HolyGhost(Rom 5:5) When were in it the world knows that we are his disciples(John 13:35) Number four, Confession. The first three points could be categorized as lifestyle evangelisim. However that alone dont get the job done. Jesus said if we CONFESS him before men, he;ll confess us before the Father(Matt 10:32) Men are saved through hearing words. In the book of Acts The angel sent for Peter in Joppa to preach the gospel to Cornealius(Acts 10,11). Why? The reason is God has given this assignment to men not angels. The bible says How can we believe on him we have not heard, and how can we hear without a preacher?(Rom 10:14) We must as the opportunity present itself confess the name of Jesus before people boldly and unashamed! The bible COMMANDS us NOT TO BE ASHAMED of the gospel of Christ(Rom 1:16) We must be willing to confess Jesus NO MATTER WHAT! In the book of Acts Peter & JOhn were cast out of the temple for preaching in the name of Jesus(Acts 4) There maybe people that will be offended by you talking about Jesus. Which one would we rather offend God or man? If not you than who? If not now than when? Jesus said SAY not ye there are yet four months, and than cometh harvestI SAY unto you LIFT UP YOUR EYES and look uno the fields for they are white already for harvest(John 4:35) We hear about the great outpouring all the time. Have you ever thought about the fact that we are like already in it RIGHT NOW! Jesus said SAY NOT yet four months than cometh harvest. We are in HARVEST RIGHT NOW! Jesus said we are to PUT IN THE SICKLE(Mark 4:29) Jesus said ye SHALL RECIEVE POWER after the HOLYGHOST COMES UPON you to be my WITNESSES!(Acts 1:8) We already have his word and the power of his spirit, what are we waiting for? Next, the Church. We need to invite people to church. When was the last time that you did? Its an awesome place for the preacher to do the witnessing lol! Finally, Courage. Remember the wizard of Oz? The lion was the one that was looking for courage. How bizzare! When people see us having the courage of Christ in the midst of a contrary condition it testifies! When your in a situation where you dont bend bow or burn and stand ramrod straight it testifies! It sows that you KNOW WHOM YOU BELIEVE!

Cast Not Away Thy Confidence Pt 2

In the last blog we talked about the importance of NOT casting away our confidence. The word confidence means "life of faith" Everything that we recieve in this life including eternal life comes by faith. The devil attempts to use many enemies of confidence because its his defeat. In this blog were going to continue with them. The next enemy of confidence is contention. Strife is the very playground of the devil. We have to make sure that we do everything that we can to bring an end of all strife in our lives homes churches and work places. We are absolutely ablt through the power of his might to do it. The bible says in the book of proverbs that meddling with contention is like grabbing a dog by the ears(Prov 26:17) Have you ever done that? Dogs do not respond well to it!! There is a time to speak and a time to be silent(Ecc 3:7) When were like emotionally hyped up then its best to lean the sacredness of silence and shutup!! The Lord said through the mouth of James Be swift to hear, slow to speak and slow to wrath(Jms 1:19) Our flesh is gonna want to set the record straight, react rather than act of the word. The bible says were to avoid those things that GENDER STRIFE(2 Tim 2:23) The book of Genesis tells us the story of Abraham God had given him the land that rightfully belonged to him, however there begin to be contention that arose in the servants on each side. Abraham rather then enter into the contention told Lot that he could have the best land. God gave blessed Abraham abundantly as a result!!! There is always a blessing that comes when we refuse to enter into contention. The Lord said to me one time Brian "Its not about communication, its all about how you communicate" In other words we have to communicate whether its a husband & wife, brother 7 sister, or employer & employee. Communication is to an association as circulation is to the body. However we always decide how were going to communicate! There is a statistic that says that 70% of strife in the home is voice tone. The bible says a SOFT answer turns away wrath(Prov 15:1) Contention is very dangerous in the life of a believer. This is not my idea, God said through the mouth of James where strife & contention is there is EVERY EVIL WORK(Jms 3:16) We must understand that its purpose is to decimate our confidence, and than as it comes time to take a bold stand we unable to enter in because of all it. Number five, Confession. The bible says that Jesus is the HighPriest of our confession. Our words give Jesus something to work with. The words of our mouths are compared to putting bits in a horses mouth and the rudder on a ship being driven by fiearce wind(Jms 3:3,4) We must frame our world with our words!! Faith comes by hearing, but its RELEASED by SAYING! Notice how our confidence in God increases as we begin to get in agreement with God where our words are concerned. Its so true in my life everytime that the enemy has been given place in my life, as I have dissected it my words were the factor. The angel came to Danial saying IAM COME FOR THY WORDS(Dan 10:12) This was in the midst of a strong stand of faith for him. There was warfare going on!!! God and the devil were both after his words!!! Its the very same thing in our lives. The bible says were to HOLDFAST our CONFESSION(Heb 4:14, Heb 10:23) The word holdfast is a strong word! Prov 18:21 says Death and life is in the power of our tounge and the Gospel is the POWER of God(Rom 1:16) We need his power RELEASED in our lives and God himself tells us through Soloman that its released though our tounges. We can have all the power in the world running through our wall, but the appliance will not work until ITS PLUGGED IN! The next one, Conceit. There is a big difference in confidence and arrogance! we see what happened in the life of Nebacanezzer. Conceit caused him to eat grass on all fours like a cow(Dan 4), Herod in the book of acts was turned into a banquet of worms(Acts 12) The bible gives us the best balance in the book of Romans. It says were not to think MORE HIGHLY than we OUGHT(Rom 12:3) Now notice it doesent tell us we shouldnt think high of ourselves, it says MORE HIGH. What would more high be? Its thinking of ourself beyond what the word says. Jesus said Apart from him we can do NONETHING(John 15:5) Conceit says I've done this on my own. it will ultimately destroy confdence because God himself will resist it and its his presence and power that our confidence is rooted in! Next one Complaining. During thanksgiving season we went into detail on the cost of complaining. In the book of numbers the children of Isreal complained about the manna and wanted meat. God gave them so much meat it came out of their nostrils(Num 11) Whats the message? He has zero tolerence for it. Its a confidence KILLER!!! Why does it anger God to such an extent? Its because it breveals that we have no confidence im him. Remember what we said confidence is means CON-FIDEL = Life Of Faith and withouyt faith(aka confidence) its IMPOSSIBLE to PLEASE GOD(Heb 11:6) Its very displeasing to him when we do it. Lets NOT! The Lord said through the mouth of James that our tounges are to be TAMED by the word and HolyGhost! WHEN your tempted to complain just zip the lip and get into the word until your confidence in him arises to the such a place that out of the abundance of your heart the mouth WILL SPEAK(Matt 12:34, Luke 6:45) FAITH AND CONFIDENCE PTL!!!!

Cast Not Away Your Confidence

The book of Hebrews admonishes us to cast not away our confidence which has great recompense of reward(Heb 10:35) One translation says glorious compensation. God is telling us that confidence is an intrical and critical element in recieving from God. What is confidence? Its a practical expression of our trust in God. We must understand the difference b/w confidence and arrogance. Some people that are walking in the confidence of Christ are deemed arrogant. This is only true when there is an exaltation self and not Jesus Christ! The word confidence comes from the words CON-FIDEL This litterally means "Life Of Faith" faith is not a movement, its a lifestyle! Each one of us have been commanded to live the life of faith. We have been given the measure of faith(Rom 12:3) The faith that gives us the victory that overcomes the world is already IN US! however it as to be appropriated applied and then released!!! How do we release our faith? Well, How did we get born again? The bible says that we believed in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, for with the HEART we believith unto righteousness and with the MOUTH CONFESSION is made unto salvation(Rom 10:9,10) Our heart and mouth were both involved in RECIEVING the greatest miracle! The bible says As ye therefore have RECIEVED CHRIST, so ought ye ALSO WALK YE IN HIM(Col. 2:6) In other words the same way we get born again is the same way we get healed, delivered, set free, and prosper. God spoke through the mouth of Paul He that spared not his own son, WOULD HE NOT FREELY GIVE US ALL THINGS?(Rom 8:32) How we recieved the primary is how we recieve ALL the secondary! PTL!!! Ok back to confidence. We develop in it by number one, Ways. we must learn the ways of the Lord. The bible says that the children of Israel knew his acts, Moses knes his ways(Psalm 103:14) Moses was the one that was like Lord show me your glory, and I'll go wherever your presence goes! Moses heart was the presence of the Lord!!! As a result his goodness went right along with it! It was kindof like a package deal. Moses grew from being a timd studderer to being a confident comrad marching into pharoahs court saying LET MY PEOPLE GO! Number two, Words. The confidence in our hearts is released from our lips. Matterofact right words enlarges the capacity of confidence already in our hearts. The bible says that our touges is like the pen of a ready writer(Psalm 45:1) and were told to write the word on the tables(aka Tablet) of our hearts(Prov 3:3) Refuse to use any other words other than what God says SPEAK THE WORD ONLY(Matt 8:8) As we do this we'll be just like the apostle Paul Iknow WHOM I BELIEVE AND AM FULLY PERSUADED THAT HES ABLE TO KEEP THAT WHICH I HAVE COMMITTED UNTO HIM(2 Tim 1:12) Now Enemies of Confidence. Number one, Condemnation. This is onle of the enemies tools in the workshop. He strives through self debasement. Preachers and people will call it humility. Humbling ourselves simply mean to agree and align ourselves whats aready been decreed and declared! Condemnation is a confidence killer!!! There is now therefore NO CONDEMNATION in Christ Jesus(Rom 8:1) You might be like yeah Brian, you just dont know what I've done. The woman was caught in the VERY ACT OF ADULTRY. Jesus said to her NEITHER DO I CONDEMN THEE, go and sin no more(John 8:11) God doesent hold our past against us. Condemnation will suck confidence out of us like honey out of a nector. Number two, Compromise. The latter half of the verse Jesus tells the woman caught in the very act of adultry GO AND SIN NO MORE! Compromise will destroy our confindence too. The bible says If our hearts condemn us, we CANNOT HAVE CONFIDENCE TOWARD GOD(1 John 3:20,21) When we have these areas in our lives we will not be able to have the confidence to enter boldly into the holy of holies accessing throne of grace. This is like another facet that makes sin so dangerous and disaterous it destroys our confidence. Isint it any wonder that the ene,y attempts to keep us in compromise? Number three, Comparison. The bible says comparing ourselves among ourselves is not wise(2 Cor 10:12) The only place our eyes need to be is on the author and finisher of our faith! When we begin to look toward someonelse we'll lose our confidence and begin to get jealous and enter into envy. When were green with envy, were ripe for trouble!!! We live in a society that likes to compare, look Gods no respector of persons, but he IS a respector of PRINCIPLE! Confidence is so important attack these enemies and refuse to allow them in your life in the name of JESUS!

Safe From Sin

In the last blog we talked about triumphing through temptation. Every single one of us WILL be tempted. God said through the mouth of James When were tempted(Jms 1:13) Notice he did'nt say IF! Its an absolute certainty! The purpose of temptation is to lead us toward sin. If it were not it would cease to be temptation. Jesus was tempted in ALL points, YET without SIN(Heb 4:15) Proving that its possible for us not to yield to temptation. Someone might be like "Yeah but thats JESUS" We must understand Jesus did not do one thing during his earthly ministry in his powers as God. The bible says that he stripped himnself and took upon himself the LIKENESS OF A MAN(Phil 2:6-8) Its amazing and astounding the amount of believers preachers and pastors that dont get that!! Its realizing this that empowers us not to yield, BUT RESIST! We also discussed the penalty and price of sin. King David a man after Gods own heart used mightily and majestically, yet yielded to temptation that brought forth sin which lead to death. God said through James Lust is conceived, it bringith forth sin and sin WHEN IT IS FINISHED BRINGETH FORTH DEATH(Jms 1:15) Notice the enemy wants death to work in us! The bible talks about the LAW of SIN & DEATH(Rom 8:2) In other words this is a law that once set into motion will bring death. We see the effects of seath all over David. It impacted & influenced the death of his baby, the drama b/w Amnon and Tamar, and the rebellion of Absoloam. When it was all said and done four lives were ruined all as a result of this yielding. Now do we think for one second if David would've known all this was going to go down, you think he would've yielded for a nanosecond? A million times NO! So lets take preventive maintence! The Lord birthed and breeded an acronym in and through Bro Moore called FAR. Each of these letters represent a word. This is exactly what we want to be concerning & pertaining to sin FAR!!!!!!!!!! The first letter is FOLLOW. We must follow the leading of the HolySpirit. Jesus said LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION(Matt 6:13) the Lord is the good SHEPHERED, NOT the GOOD COWBOY and we are his SHEEP, NOT CATTLE! God leads, not drives! We must respond to his leadings. This is the reason that we must remain sensitive and soft. The bible says when the HolySpirit SPEAKS, HARDEN NOT YOUR HEART(Heb 3:7, 15) God is always sending, but are we recieving? Havent you like been going down the road in your car listening to the radio and you hit a certain bump and all the sudden it becomes STATIC CITY? There was nothing wrong with the station sending the signal it was all about the reciving on our end. There are some things that we would've been better off never seeing or hearing. Lets make it easier on ourselves! Jesus said that his yoke is easy, and buden light(Matt 11:30) However its contigent upon us staying YOKED to HIM! The second letter A, AVOID. In the book of Proverbs God speaks through the mouth of Soloman warning us of going near the door and house of temptation. The Lord said through the mouth of Paul AVOID the very APPEARENCE of evil(1 Thess 5:22) The worst thing that anyone can say is "Oh I can handle it, I wont succomb" Oh my friend thats a lie from the Father of lies(John 8:44) Everything that we entertain is something that he can use. especially the areas where we know were tempted. we must not play games and pretend were not tempted when we are! The third letter, Resist! Once we have done the first two than we have to resist resist resist! Jesus resisted the enemy in the wilderness, because of all the preperation in times past. The bible said that at age twelve he was in the synogogue teaching. Following this we dont find mention of Jesus until hes baptised in the Jordan river. What was happening during this span and season? He GREW in WISDOM & STATURE(Luke 2:52) When we LIVE PREPARED, We'll BE PREPARED! When Jesus answered the first temptation with IT IS WRITTEN, MEN SHALL NOT LIVE BY BREAD ALONE BUT BY EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDTHETH FROM THE MOUTH OF GOD(Matt 4:4) He did'nt get that out of nowhere it was in Deut 8:3!!!! God put this in him during that period of time and training and HE WAS READY!!!!!!!!! He'll cause us to be ready. Search & study to show yourself approved untp God!(2 Tim 2:15) in Jesus name!

Triumphing Through Temptation

There is a statement that goes "Opportunity comes around once, but temptation leans on the doorbell" Temptation is something that will continually and constantly be ringing the bell. The Lord has given us the tools to triumph and in this blog were going to discuss what they are. First lets talk about what temptation isint. Temptation is not sin. Many believers feel condemned because they have been tempted. Jesus was tempted and hes the sinless son of God! The bible says he was tempted in ALL POINTS yet without sin(Heb 4:15) Hes been there and done that and knows how to deliver the Godly out of temptation(2 Peter 2:9) Temptation becomes sin once we've yielded to it. There are some that might be like "Oh I just couuld'nt help it" No no, the bible declares different. God said through the mouth of Paul There is no temptation taken us such is common to man, and also make A WAY OF ESCAPE(1 Cor 10:13) We live in a society thats often very soft on sin. The bible says Fools make a mock of sin(Prov 14:9) The wages of sin IS DEATH(Rom 6:23) The litteral meaning is LOSS OF LIFE. Look at Adam & Eve in the garden, after they ate from the tree that God said not too, death entered in immediately! There is no such thing as sin without the death. There is pleasure in sin for season(Heb 11:25) However the pressure far out weighs the passing pleasure! King David a man after Gods own heart(Acts 13:22) found this out the hard way. The bible says in 2 Samual Eleven that he let his men go out to battle while he stayed behind. Oh WATCH OUT! Theres a saying that goes "An idle mind is the devils workshop" We know the rest of the story, he saw Bathsheba taking a bath and all it took was a look causing him to enter into a conspiracy having Urriah killed and taking her as his wife. God than spoke to him out of the mouth of the prophet Nathan saying "The sword shall not depart from thine house"(2 Sam 12:10) Surely that day David stayed behind he had no clue what the results of yielding to the temptation was going to be, neither do WE! There is a saying that goes "Sin will take us furthur than we want to go, keep us longer than we want to stay, and make us pay a price higher than we want to pay" What is sin? Sin is VIOLATION OF LIGHT! In the ninth chapter of the book of John Jesus tells the Pharisees Ye say we see THEREFORE YOUR SIN REMAINS(John 9:41) In other words we are accountable for the light WE SEE! The problem with many is that they want to act like they dont see, when indeed they do. God knows what we see! God said through the mouth of John Walk in the light, As Iam in the light(1 John 1:7) God said through the Psalmist in thine light, IS LIGHT(Psalm 36:9) The more light that comes the more we become responsible to walk in it! Now anyone that is reading that has yielded to temptation tus getting into sin, the good news is the blood of Jesus will cleanse you from ALL unrighteousness. However lets spare ourselves of the price of pain and pressure that comes through sin by killing it at the temptation level. "Sin is the fascination that leads to assasination, the thrill that kills and the blast that dont last" Now Triumphing Though Temptation Number one, Prayer. Jesus said Pray lest ye ENTER INTO temptation(Matt 26:41, Luke 22:46) Here he describes temptation as a door that we open up and walk into. When we sense temptation automatically we need to PRAY! Prayer is the umbilical cord with God, Prayer is onipotent it can do anything God can do cause he hears and answers prayer! Number two, LOOKING UNTO Jesus(Heb 12:2) In order to look unto, we must first LOOK AWAY! Two things cannot have our undivided attention at the same time! Number three, Praise. Praise is Hells mute button! When temptation begins to pull you, begin to quickly praise the Lord! We talked in an earlier blog that its a powerful weapon of warfare. Number four, Accountability. Its good to tell a brother in the Lord that you really trust and will hold you accountable. The bible says Confess your faults to one another and pray one for another that ye may be healed(Jms 5:16) Number five, Speak the word. When Jesus was being tempted of the devil in the wilderness he said IT IS WRITTEN(Matt 4, Luke 4) Jesus said Speak to the mountain(Mark 11:23) Begin to onslaught the temptation with a war of words!!! We are able to resist temptation! The bible says We have yet to resist unto blood striving against sin(Heb 12:4) In other words we'll never have an excuse for a lack of resistence!!! Pleading The Blood

The above is a statement that has been in the BOC for many many years. What exactly does it mean? It simply means FAITH IN THE BLOOD! The bible declares .....faith in HIS BLOOD(Rom 3:25) There has never been a day and hour where our faith must be completely in the blood of Jesus Christ! It indeed is the strongest detergent on this people planet!!! There is a fountain FILLED WITH BLOOD drawn from Emanuals veins and sinners plunged beneath that flood LOOSE all their guilty stain, What can wash away our sin? NONETHING but the BLOOD of JESUS. What can make us whole again? NONETHING but the BLOOD of JESUS. Oh precious is the flow that MAKES US WHITER than SNOW(Isiah 1:18) There is POWER POWER POWER WONDER WORKING POWER in the PRECIOUS BLOOD OF THE LAMB! The bible says the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God(2 Cor 10:4) For a long time I would decree and declare to the Lord "Thankyou for the word, name and blood" He corrected me and son thats backwords. Its blood, word and name! The reason is because its the blood that gave the word its power enabling it to be the POWER of God(Rom 1:16) The word comes before the name because He hath exalted his word ABOVE HIS NAME(Psalm 138:2) PTL!!! There are churches today that like refrain from even mentioning the blood. The above quotes are blood songs that have been in hymnals for years! There have been individuals that litterally had them removed. Friend without the blood we have NOTHING!!! In closing lets discuss some blood benefits. Number one, Redemption. The bible declares without the shedding of blood there IS NO REMISION OF SIN(Heb 9:22) The bible says we were not redeemed by corruptible things as silver and gold but were redeemed by incorruptible the BLOOD of the lamb without spot or blemish(1 Peter 1:18) As a result of this forceful flow from the crest of calvary we have been redeemed not only from sin but the CURSE! Christ hath redeemed us from the law being made a curse for us(Gal 3:13) We need to be pleading the blood over our souls lives families friends churches nation emotions finances every area and arena!!! There are some that preach water baptisim is a prereq for salvation. This would be the blood + somethingelse. NO NO its the blood and NONEThing ELSE! We must be careful and caustious not to count the blood an unholy thing(Heb 10:29) Such preaching is spitting upon the blood! Number two, Sanctification. The bible says .....Santifieth to the purifying of the flesh, HOW MUCH MORE SHALL THE BLOOD OF CHRIST(Heb 9:13,14) The process of the sanctification is impossible eithout the incooperation of the blood. The blood not only redeemed us but enables us to be conformed into the image of his dear son. number three, Cleanses. God said through the mouth of John The BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST CLEANSES US from ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS(1 John 1:7) Atonement was an old tesetment word which meant "to cover" During that time the HighPriest would enter into the holy of holies with a sacrifice for the atonement for the people. After Jesus death burial and ressurrection he became are merciful and faithful HighPriest and we no longer are covered but CLEANSED PTL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! number four, Protects. In the book of Exodus one of the plaques that came upon egypt was the death of the firstborn. God however commanded the blood of an animal be applied to the door posts top, botton and sides. This was a total foreshadowing of the cross! Matterofact, the old testement is Gods will CONCEALED, the new testement is Gods will REVEALED! God said when HE SAW THE BLOOD, the death angel would PASS OVER(Ex 12:13) Lets remember his words in Hebrews HOW MUCH MORE SHALL THE BLOOD OF CHRIST!!!! The death decay depression debt doubt division destruction HAS TO PASS BY oh MY MY MY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Number five, Provision. "There is no purchase without a cost" This price was paid in blood! Provision has been made, now it wont be automatic. We will have to continually stir up our minds to rememberence(2 Peter 3:1) The principles in the earlier blog. There is the spiritual and natural together they produce supernatural RESULTS!!! However it would have never been available without the shedding of his precious blood!!! PLEAD THE BLOOD, PLEAD THE BLOOD, PLEAD THE BLOOD in the name of JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Yesterday Ended Lastnight"

The above was written upon a sign. It adequately describes things in the past. So many today are trapped in the past. They are plaqued by past mistakes, messups, slips, and stumbles. The thing that we must remember is all of us come from a past. Everyone of the heros of faith written about in the bible came from one. Moses killed the hebrew slave and spent the next forty years on the backside of the wilderness, Abraham slept with Hagar thus the birth of Ishmal breeding a conflict that's still is in existence to this very day, Sampson went into Delila even after the strict warnings from God through his parents thus bringing humiliation & heartache, David was a adulterer preventing the sword from departing from his house, Peter was a denier, Paul was a persecuter & executor, Thomas was a doubter and Judas was a betrayer. We see here with this parade of people that ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God(Rom 3:23) Lets get this phrase burned in our memory and never forget it "God never consults our past to determine our future." I heard this illustration that sums it up totally and completely. On our automobiles is a windshield and rearview mirror. The windshield is much bigger because whats ahead is more important than whats behind! How can we prevent the past from permiating the present. Number one, Forgive. We have to forgive everyone and anything that might have presented pain in our lives in anyway shape for or fashion. Its not optional, its critical. We do it by an act of will not by feeling or emotion. We can do ALL things through Christ that strengthens(Phil 4:13) If your like saying I JUST CANT. Than change the cant to a WON'T and you've atleast faced the truth. Jesus said No man can take your joy(John 16:22) Jesus said to the man at the pool of Bethesda Do you WANT to be WHOLE or WELL?(John 5:6) In other words forgiveness is for OUR OWN spiritual & emotional well being! Remember on the Saboth day Jesus healed a man and correlated the forgiveness of sins and healing of a person. In other words forgiveness can often be the very thing that stops the flow of pressure points going on in our physical body. I have heard of individuals that once forgave were completely healed of severe arthritis. I heard of a dude that litterally laughed his way back to life from terminal cancer. The point is we are unable to do that if we have the poison of unforgiveness flowing through our spiritual & emotional veins. There is a statement that goes "Unforgiveness is like drinking poison waiting for the other person to die". There is another statement that goes "Forgiveness is like the key that unlocks the handcuffs of hatred" Jesus dives into descriptive detail about the price of this poison in the book of Matthew. In it there was a servant that owed his master a debt and asked for time to pay it, than when this guys servant came to him asking for the very same consideration, he did'nt offer it and took him by the throat throwing him into a debtors prison. When it was found out what was done he was GIVEN OVER TO THE TORMENTERS(Matt 18:34) In other words we'll be under torment until we have it radically resolved! It would be kindof like letting ourselves be in a jail cell and handing the key to the person we refuse to forgive allowing them to be our own personal wardan! Number two, Forgetting. You hear people make this statement " I can forgive, but I CAN NEVER FORGET" We must understand that they are flipsides of the very same coin. In the story of Joeseph, who we all know went through over thirteen years of injustice administered by his brothers. When it was all said and done he had two sons, one of them was named Ephriam which meant God CAUSED me to FORGET(Gen 41) The Lord said through the mouth of Isiah FORGETTING the FORMER things(Isiah 43:18) and He said through the mouth of Paul FORGETTING the things that are BEHIND(Phil 3:13) Its going to take winning the battle of our minds! God has given each of us this responsibility. Responsibility comes with great accountability! Jesus said As much as given, MUCH SHALL BE REQUIRED(Luke 12:48) The bible commands us to bring EVERY THOUGHT INTO CAPTIVITY & PLACE IT UNDER THE OBEDIENCE OF CHRIST(2 Cor 10:5) in an earlier blog we discussed the four R's recognize, reject, replace, and renew. Number three, Focus. It can often be easy to look back. Remember the story of Lots wife? As they were being brought out of Sodom & Gommorah, she LOOKED BACK turning into a pillar of salt. Jesus was impressed in importance by the Father when he said REMEMBER LOTS WIFE(Luke 17:32) This was an order from headquarters to us from the head of the church!!! We cannot go forward while looking backwards.The bible says Looking UNTO JESUS the author & finisher of our faith(Heb 12:2) Two things cannot have our focus at the same time. The enemy is like the master of distraction which develops into deception that ultimately leads to death. So what must we do? Comintinue focusing forward, refuse to speak about it anymore. Dont be like the little boy that skined his knee and kept pulling off the bandaid before it had the opportunity to heal. We do that when we keep looking and speaking about the past. Number four, Faith in the Future. The bible says in the book of Ecc Better is the ending of a thing than the beginning thereof(Ecc 7:9) The bible says in the Book of Hageai The glory of the LATTER house SHALL BE GREATER than the FORMER house(Hageai 2:9) Recall the story of Sampson? We talked earlier that he disregared the advice of his parents and his sin lead to sorrow. However He asked God to grant him strength one last time to the pull the pillars down on the phillistines, and than the bible makes this incredible statement His ending was greater than throughout his whole entire life! Its not about how we START, its ALL about how we FINISH!!! The bible says we ALL run a race, BUT ONLY ONE RECIEVES THE PRIZE(1 Cor 9:24) Lets not the past be a barrier or baraxade to the future! There is a statement that goes our past pain is no predicter of our future PLEASURE!!! God said through the mouth of the prophet Jeremiah I know that plans that I have for you saith the Lord PLANS for AN EXPECTED a FUTURE and a hope(Jer 29:11) We must never ALLOW our MEMORIES to become greater than our DREAMS! "Yesterday Ended Lastnight!"

"Money Tremendous tool, but terrible master"

The title is a quote that I heard that sums up the topic of money beautifully. In the word of God money is no small subject. Sixteen of the thirty eight parables deal with financial management. One of the big reasons is because How can we be in a position to be a blessing unless were blessed? God said in the book of Deuteronomy I will bless you coming in and out, in the city and field, in your basket and store. The bible says that the blessing of the Lord makes us rich and adds no sorrow(Prov 10:22) God has no problem getting money to us, its getting it through us that can be the issue! God doesent care how much we have as long as those things dont have us. There are people that can be like "well its just like the bible says "Money is the root of all evil" NO! Its the LOVE of money thats the root of all evil(1 Tim 6:10) Is it possible for someone to have alot of it and love God? Absolutely! Abraham was rich in cattle, David gave a ton in one offering, Soloman was the wealthiest person that ever lived on the face of the planet and would have been able to send care packages to Bill Gates! However on the other side of things someone can be poor and be completely covetous. Many times they are the very ones that make statements such as "If I only had their money"! I want us to notice a very important word in that phrase THEIR!!!! How is what someone is doing with their money effect are ability to recieve? It doesent! Gods blessing is not based on condition or culture, but COVENANT! The book of Ecc says, A poor mans wisdom is not heard(Ecc 9:16) In other words if we dont have enough to get out of the drive way, we cant take it to the streets! This is why we must all trust God for increase! Why? So that we can achieve more for the Kingdom of God! Think about it, not one church can for one day stay open for one minute without financial support. Not one evangelistic outreach can occur without financial support. Not one missionary can be sent to the foreign fields without financial support. This is why we all need to be believing for prosperity. We are going to now discuss some principles from the word of God that will enable the Lord to open up the windows of Heaven and pour out his blessing in abundance in our lives! Number one. The Tithe. What is the tithe? It is ten percent of our income. The bible set presedence for it in the fourteenth chapter of Genesis when Abraham gave TITHES OF ALL(vs. 20) This is very important because there are people that think that the tithe came in the giving of the law and now that were under grace its no longer of significane. Nonething can be farthur from the truth. Another thing that some people say is that the tithe is not mentioned in the new testement. Not true. Jesus mentions it in Matt 23:23 Woe unto you scribes and pharisees hyprocrites. for ye PAY TITHE..... and it mentions it in the seventh and eigth chapters of the book of Hebrews. Why Tithe? Because God commands it(Mal 3:8), Why Tithe? Because it proves to God that he owns absolutely everything in our lives and we trust completely in his Lordship. Hes like PROVE ME NOW SAITH THE LORD(Mal 3:10) The only place in the entiety of the word of God where almighty God, creater of heaven and earth says prove him is regarding money! The reason is because it shows him that he has ALL of our heart and not just part of it and that we trust him as our Jovah Jireh provider! Jesus said where our treasure is, our heart WILL BE ALSO(Matt 6:21) Jesus said Why call me Lord Lord and NOT DO what I say?(Luke 6:46) We need to prove his Lordship in our lives and its in the PUDDING! We must litterally put our money where are mouths are! lol Number two is The Offering. The offering is above and beyond the tithe. We can never substitute an offering for the tithe, because that would be TIPPING not TITHING. As the Lord directs us we need to be sowing seed especially for the future. The bible says in the book of Ecc chapther eleven Cast thy bread upon the waters, and IT WILL COME BACK to you after not many days give a portion of seven and eight for you know not what evil shall come upon the earth. and it goes onto says He that observes the wind SHALL NOT SOW(Ecc 11:1-4) In other words if we get caught up in the winds and waves of a situation, we'll be held back and stop the flow of giving in our lives. God can multiply any seed sown(2 Cor 9:10) but zero times zero equals zero! A seed may leave our hand, BUT it WILL NEVER LEAVE OUR LIFE! Remember the widow at Zeraphath? She recieved a visit from the prophet Elijah, once there she told him that she was making a a little meal for her and her son than we''ll die. Elijah said make me some first! Sounds like a preacher huh? LOL Elijah was NOT attempting to get something from her but to her! However it had come THROUGH her first! When were willing to let go of what is in our hand, God will let go of what is in his hand! How many know whats in his is much greater than whats in ours! This was in the midst of a fiearce famine. This wasent EASY! She let the seed lead and it met her NEED! The mill barrel never emptied and the cruise of oil NEVER failed(1 Kings 17) Lets not forget God IS SUPERNATURAL!!!! The old testement especially is filled with illustrations of his miracle working power manifested after demonstrated obedience. The bible says These things were written for our admonition and example(1 Cor 10:11) When were in a seemingly unprosperable situation, we need to look back see what others of the heros of faith did to thrive and not just survive. Number three, Stewardship. This is getting into the natual side. We must get up out of debt as soon as we can. Its a prison that causes us to be the borrower and not the lender. Hes the owner and were the manager! Purchase with cash as much as possible. The danger with credit cards is spending more than whats coming in. It can easily cause us to be slaves to the creditors. Its a day to abound and not be bound! Jesus said If were faithful in the little things we'll be made rulers over much(Luke 16:10) In other words if were unable to be faithful with a hundred, we wont be a thousand. It will be impossible for increase to come. In the event your in debt, dont be condemned, but challenged! The bible says the Lord will TEACH us how to PROFIT(Isiah 48:17) Number Four, Patience. No farmer after sowing the seed in the morning is eating the crop by the afternoon! Its going to take some TIME! The bible says while the Earth remains seedTIMEharvest WILL NOT CEASE(Gen 8:22) Notice that the word time is like slap dab in the middle of the seed and the harvest. The bible says Through faith and PATIENCE we inherit the promises(Heb 6:12) We have need of PATIENCE after having done the will of God that may recieve the promise(Heb 10:36) Esau sold his inheritence away through impatience. He was like if I cant have that little morsal im going to DIE! the bible said that even through he sought repentence with tears, it wasent given back to him(Heb 12:14) The children of Israel took forthy years with millions dying along the way to get to the promiseland because of a lack of patience. The bible says Growing not weary in well doing, we SHALL REAP IF we faint not(Gal 6:9) Our reaping is conditional. We must stand strong and wait patiently, for Jesus himself is the Lord of our harvest!(Matt 9:38) Number Five, Diligence. The bible says We desire that every one of you show the same diligence(Heb 6:11). What is diligence its the opposite of lazy! The book of proverbs is filled with passage after passage of what happens when we are slothful, we'll be under a cure and poverty will come upon us. God sent Manna on the COI for frthy years, but they had to collect. God provides worms for birds, but he doesent shove them down their throats. Ships dont come in, there brought in! The bible says that God is not unrighteous to forget our WORK and LABOR of love(Heb 6:10) The bible says if a man doesent work, he shall not eat( 2 Thess 3:10) The bible says If a man doesent provide for his household hes worse than the infidel(aka unbeliever) 1 Tim 5:8. Number Six, Persuasion in the promises. How was Paul able to become fully persuaded that God was able to keep what he entrused unto him? We find the answer in the beginning of the verse. I KNOW WHOM I BELIEVE(2 Tim 1:12) Abraham was fully persuaded that what God promised he was able to perform(Rom 4:21) How? The same way! The bible says he was the friend of God(Jms 2:23) The more we know him through the word and not the opinions of preachers and men the more persuaded we'll become. It will cause us to be a cheerful giver in which God loves(2 Cor 9:7) Practice these principles & precepts they will produce power to prosper in Jesus name!
